UPDATE: Maps are in; but they are also probably broken. Please reply to this thread with which maps and how.
The invasion update that taleworlds did broke NeoGK so I am going to do a quick Q/A.
1. This other server got stuff to work, why doesn't yours?
A: I am not the original content creators, nor have I done too much besides add maps and adjust weapon availability. Adding/removing stuff is easier than making scripts that work. Most neogk stuff is script based. It really doesn't help that one of the main contributors didn't speak english (and didn't put in many comments). I am working as fast as I can in my spare "working" time.
2. What is a time frame for getting stuff done?
A: Tomorrow I will be patching the server to use maps that don't rely on neogk stuff; and neogk items. It will take effect New Years Day. Getting scripts to work will take longer. Admin/player features will come first. Catapults etc will come later. Maps will need updates, maybe a couple will get entirely remade. Volunteers would be helpful.
3. Seriously, Mount and Siege has this stuff working, why not you?
A: Our modules diverged a couple years ago. Taleworlds changed the functionality of a lot of the underlying code; and some of the changes we made since the split conflict with the changes TW made. I am not sure which they are and there are hundreds of lines of code that need to be in a very specific order. I might be able to roll back stuff, but it would be at the loss of the player damage board and the online players which I find more important. It would also be much harder for me to reprogram those if I did so.

Alright, for people who may have not been included these past few weeks... A change of leadership has been discussed and voted on.
The results were overwhelmingly in favor of it 21-2
Long story short, I will be assuming complete command over the clan and all aspects of it. I will be delegating tasks to certain individuals as well as time goes on.
Obviously there will be a transition period while the changes are made and everything is re-structured. For now, the day to day functions will continue to be processed as normal until told otherwise.
in the coming weeks, I will be holding meetings with various staff/potential staff to discuss task distribution and to re-work other aspects.
Here is a cutout of my overall plans/ideas for the clan in the coming time.
Alrighty then, time to lay down some of the ideas....
Re-Structure GK into an actual multi-gaming community. No more ones and twos playing games by themselves. We will begin implementing official groups for various games. Leadership will be appointed by an application/interview process. It will most likely be appointed to the impromptu current leader of the group, but we shall give everyone a chance at it.
Leader of that group will manage and handle every aspect of his/her section. Leader will be required to report to myself or a delegate of my choosing on current status, ideas on ways to improve it, etc.
Any game sections requiring servers will be granted on a as needed basis and to those that show consistent growth and activity. Meaning a brand new group fresh off the floor will not be awarded multiple high pop servers, but an established one that is showing good activity and decent server pop can then request additional servers.
There will be additional staff roles to fill other than just "lords and nobles". Such as recruiters, public relations, advertisers, streamers, etc.
No more elections. Staff appointments will be done for whoever is best for the job until a time comes for replacement.
All decisions are final. I may call for votes to gauge the community desires but by no means is it a set in stone outcome. This does not mean people cannot voice opinions, it just simply means do not get pissy if your way of thinking did not go into play.
There will be no "quotas" to fill for the sections. The only thing expected of the groups is to actively participate on the forums, TS3 and events.
Rules will be covered under the standard GK code. Any "game section specific" rules will be implemented and handled by the game leaders.
Overhaul of the GK website/forums. Forums will be cleaned up. Relevant information will be higher up on the chain. Forums/landing pages, etc will no longer focus GK M&B section with smaller game divisions shoved wherever they can fit.
TS3 Cleanup. We will be scrapping all un-needed tags. I love my tags but sadly they do introduce clutter and make it difficult for users to see who is what. The only outfacing tags that will be shown are for GK Community members, Community Staff, Game Division Leaders, Game Division Staff. At most, any one person should have no more than 3 tags.
Channels will also be cleaned up to reflect the overhaul.
Cleanup of clan code of conduct and policies. Cleanup of the "processes" for handling issues. Things will be a bit more relaxed around here and not have to step on eggshells.
I have already begun some of this inside my own game division section for Ark. We are slowly building a community there.
These are some of the changes I wish to make. I believe if we can finally knit this community back together with the various games being played out there, we will become a functional clan once more. Obviously the plans I have are way more detailed and involved, but I simply lack the desire to type out every single aspect. Here it is in a nutshell basically.
All in all, I genuinely do hope people see this clan needs changes for it to stay alive. I know people may be scared things may resort back to a dictatorship. Honestly you should know by now after running these servers for this long and my general presence here, I have always been neutrel and professional and have never banned someone simply because I didn't like them. Nor have I ever abused any admin powers, both in office nor on the game servers themselves. There is a distinct difference between a dictator and a leader. I think you know which I would be.

Thanks to Connor and Suspicious Man we have the following new maps on TDM:
Loggerheads
Rocca di Mezzo
Caravan Ambush
Snowblind
Abandoned Mine
Hiporcats "Kingdom of Zeal" and Supicious's "Dried Lake" are almost there. I will try to get to the other two older outstanding maps soon.
We have three holidays in a row coming up. I can't offer a prize besides Kudos but I would be willing to run three competitions for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas maps.

This has been a long time coming.
May/June
- Because of insufficient leadership volunteers the clan has been temporarily restructured.
- Chief Admins have been separated from the Lords.
- Chief Admins only have emergency powers outside CA stuff. The clan will need to approve anything big.
- Interim Chief Admins were appointed, or approved. Myself, CD, Hodor, Arilyn, and Matheld
- Lords and Nobles have been abolished. (Sorry Spar, thats what we voted for, but I doubt anyone minds you being an honorary lord for the time being)
- Rhapsodos is still handling applications and policy threads.
- Don't worry about promos. If you have been around for a month and somewhat active you can vote.
The Khergits.
Based on the poll the chief admins decided to re-add khergits to rotation with half the frequency of appearance. I am still making this happen. Should be within three weeks.
TDM Changes
Population has been raised to 100
Round time is now 25 minutes instead of 2 hours
Maps
A mapping group is sorta functioning again. Please PM or steam message me if you would like in.
